The sound of Era Nocturna is moody and melodic with an undertone of pop within the elements of the electronic compositions. At over 6 years old, Era Nocturna is a project that has gone through many changes over the years. For a short time at its initial creation the project was a four-piece band by the name of Bitter Blue but it broke up shortly after the onset due to internal conflicts between the members. Daevina Noctem, the sole remaining member of the project, was not discouraged by the break up and she decided to re-name the project Era Nocturna with the intent to turn it into a gothic metal creation with electronic elements. Initially the releases shared with the public were intended to be an example of what Daevina planned to do with the music but the electronic forms of the songs were well received and a demand began to form. Willing to meet this demand, Daevina released Era Nocturna's first album "Prelude" in April of 2002
For several years the follow-up to "Prelude" was threatened but never materialized due to myriad reasons but in 2005 fans began to hear rumblings of new music coming out of the Era Nocturna machine. The feedback was more than positive and Daevina announced that the full length follow-up, entitled "Decorus Nex," would be released in 2006. In addition to this Era Nocturna took on guitarist Rob Granniss to flesh out elements of the songs and titles such as "Alive and Real" have garnered rave reviews from select listeners
In the Fall of 2006 Era Nocturna plans to begin the eagerly anticipated live performances that have been 6 years in the making.

Our Review
"Era Nocturna is primarily one woman, Dae Noctem. Dae not only writes and sings her own music but also composes, plays and mixes all of the instrumentals too.
"Dae's unique, melodic and mesmeric vocals transported us to another plateaux of consciousness. The lyrics captivating our hearts and minds, having every one of us humming her music around the office.
The lyrics are honest, you can really relate to the descriptions, the emotions and the sentiments behind the words identifying with the story as it unfolds.
The music is very inspiring, providing the listener with an aural cocophony that soothes the soul yet rouses passion and feeling. By no means an easy feat, Era Nocturna's unique sound has perfectly orchestrated a compilation of excellent lyrics, mesmerising vocals and captivating melodies that we can only describe as awesome."
